How to Increase Pregnancy chances while Breastfeeding
Sometimes breastfeeding can work as a natural birth control option. However, there are ways that you can improve your chances of conceiving even if you are breastfeeding. Breastfeeding only prevents pregnancy for a short period of time and is not entirely reliable. The reason that it can prevent pregnancy is because the additional prolactin in the body tends to stop a woman’s ovulation cycle.
In order to avoid this, however, it is best to supplement breast milk with formula. Doing so will help lower the amount of prolactin that is in the body, which can make it easier to ovulate. You should also maintain a healthy diet and exercise routine while you are breastfeeding and trying to conceive as well.
Along with this, make sure that you are tracking your ovulation cycle. This is the best way to determine when you are ovulating so that you can try to conceive during this timeframe. Doing so will greatly increase your chances of becoming pregnant.
To track your ovulation cycle, use either a basal thermometer or an ovulation predictor kit on a daily basis. If you find that you are not ovulating, you should talk to your doctor regarding treatment methods that may be available to you.
