Pregnant with Liver Problems Symptoms
It is estimated that between 3 and 5 percent of pregnant women experience issues with their liver. The symptoms that these women may experience vary from one to the other. They are also affected by the cause of the liver problems as well.
One of the most common issues that women experience when they are having liver problems while they are pregnant is jaundice. This is when the skin turns slightly yellow and the whites of the eyes turn this color as well. This symptoms can surface with any issue of the liver.
Another issue that women experience is extreme nausea and vomiting. While some morning sickness is common with pregnant women, it is important that severe vomiting is addressed by a doctor. If you have not been able to hold fluids down for 12 hours it is time to visit with your doctor.
Other symptoms that a woman may experience if she is having liver problems are preeclampsia and abdominal pain. It is also possible for confusion and headaches to occur in women with liver problems as well. Keep in mind that these symptoms may also surface due to other issues as well and are not solely tied to liver problems. Women should always discuss their pregnancy symptoms with their doctor.
